For
some years now, I have been close friends with a man who - in the 1940s
and 1950s - cut a swathe of destruction through the ranks of bookmakers
in England. They nicknamed him Mr Money, and he was a consistent winner
at tracks like White City, Harringay, Romford, Hackney Wick, Dagenham
and Catford.
