"I have never had so much success (or fun) with the punt. Thanx heaps and great
punting to all!”
"I am very appreciative of the efforts that go into producing this outstanding information."
In the final part of our special
series, Jon Hudson updates some of the ingenious staking and selection
methods complied by himself and The Optimist and published in Banker
Weekly.
I can think of no better article with which to introduce
this concluding episode in our Banker Weekly series, than one The
Optimist wrote 12 months ago. It dealt very simply, but very firmly with
money management, and unveiled 10 essential points that should become
'law' in any punter's armoury.
In
the latest feature in our continuing series featuring the Best of
Banker Weekly, Jon Hudson looks at some of the exciting staking and
selection methods that have been published in Banker Weekly.
Finding
a selection system that gives you a flow of winners, at reasonable
prices, is something we all seek. One that I revealed in Banker Weekly
in January fits the bill nicely. It's called The Hot Favourite Plan and
it throws up a high percentage of winners.
In the third article in our series featuring the best
staking and selection plans from Banker Weekly, our expert The Optimist
writes this month about some of his favourite staking ideas. In next
month's October issue, we'll feature more great ideas from Banker
Weekly's experts.
Parlay betting, or, as it used to be known, The
Yankee, has become increasingly popular in Australia since the TABs in
the various States introduced all-up betting (and long overdue it was,
too). Naturally, everyone tries to hit a Yankee combination in one go.
But what if you adopted a more patient approach?
In the second article in our series, The Best of Banker
Weekly, regular PPM contributor Jon Hudson re-examines some of the
great selection methods he has unveiled in Banker Weekly in the past 12
months. In PPM's September issue, we'll publish some of The Optimist's
best staking plans.
Looking back over Banker Weekly in the last
year, I've been delighted at how so many of the selection plans we
talked about in the weekly magazine have kept on winning. I've had
letters from readers thanking me for putting them on to fresh,
profitable ideas they just hadn't thought about before.
Are we planning for 1998 already? Afraid so. Bit of a shock, yes?
Some of you will not need the ensuing words of advice. Congratulations. To the others I say: ignore the advice at your peril!
Did you win in 1997? It was a very hard year, I can tell you. I had some good results but also some pretty scary weekends when nothing seemed to go right. See my comments in Page 13 about this very matter.
I am going to consider two basic factors for your 1998 betting programme. They are not new, they are common sense with a dose of instruction.
