Eric Connolly once said there was a simple system which could win good money for patient punters.He had this to say: "It is not always easy to correctly time the preparation of a horse, and punters should wait for those gallopers who have been backed just ONE RUN TOO SOON.
Often, a stable will prepare a horse for a certain race, the big money will be staked on him and left with the bookmakers. Punters should make a note of such horses and follow them. Usually they will end up on the right side of the ledger.
