"I have never had so much success (or fun) with the punt. Thanx heaps and great
punting to all!”
"I am very appreciative of the efforts that go into producing this outstanding information."
This is the second article in a series in which
noted US expert Joe Takach talks about the upside and downside of racing
and betting. In the first part of the series, Joe posed a series of
questions about form analysis, and in this article he answers some of
them.
Before offering my answers to the question test, I’m going
to again advance a caveat that was offered in Part 1 of this series.
Joe Takach has emerged as America’s leading
authority on the body language of racehorses.
Joe’s Beat the
Beam video (one of the best-selling horseracing videos of all time) is
highly regarded and timely for those of us who, more and more, must
observe races through the eye of a TV camera.
Joe is also the
author of seven handicapping books on the "physical readiness" of
racehorses and has been a guest speaker at the last three Handicapping
Expos in Las Vegas. He and his staff have published Southern California
Horses To Watch since 1993.
One
of the hardest things to master in our game is the “art” of keeping
one’s balance at the racetrack whether ahead or behind.
Granted,
we most often lose this precious balance when behind for the day, but it
also occurs when we are ahead.
It’s probably a good idea to
define exactly what I mean by “keeping one’s balance” when at your
favourite racing emporium.
This is the final part of US expert Joe
Takach’s series on the upside and downside of betting. You can read more
of Joe’s ideas at the www.netcapper.com
or www.joe-takach.com websites. We
start this final part with the answer to Question 22 posed in the first
article in our April issue.
This is the third article in a series in which top US expert Joe Takach talks about the upside and downside of racing and betting. In last month's article, Joe answered 10 of the questions he posed in the April issue regarding form analysis and betting. He now continues his answers.
