"I have never had so much success (or fun) with the punt. Thanx heaps and great
punting to all!”
"I am very appreciative of the efforts that go into producing this outstanding information."
The
Fair and Value Price Place Betting Chart below has as its basis the
theory written about by Roger Dedman in his book Commonsense Punting.
Taking
Dedman's theory and adjusting it using my own formula, the chart takes
into account such things as the tote operator's takeout, the rounding
down of tote dividends and the bookmaker's over-rounds.
There's
an old saying that you should always remember when you are punting:
When in doubt, stay out. There are many punters who would have been
wealthy people today if they had followed that advice. Instead, they
opted for the 'crash or crash through' approach, and lost.
I
recall one well-known punter who, as a young man, could not control his
wild and compulsive betting habits. The only thing he desired was
betting action. He got through many thousands of dollars before sanity
prevailed, and he was able to get things under some sort of control.
