I am a female relatively new to the betting game and after attending the recent Derby meeting at Flemington I am inspired to learn more about this exciting punting caper. I ventured online to a horse racing site which had some great info for a novice punter like myself, and within that site was a recommendation to go out and purchase a copy of your magazine.
Sceptical at first, I went out and bought a copy of Practical Punting Monthly today and have read it back to front 3 times already because of all the excellent information contained. What a remarkable publication for a newbie punter like myself to learn from and my only question is can I get any back copies of previous editions if they are as good as this one, which is the December 2008 copy.
While you probably don't want to publish the site that was advising to buy a copy of your magazine horseracinginfo.com.au, it is great to see both an Australian website and magazine that whilst in the business of trying to make money, are still catering for new punters with information designed to help us.
I now find myself waiting in anticipation for the January magazine to come out. I wish I had have found your magazine before the Derby meeting recently as I may have very well backed the winner on the advice of your Adelaide columnist.

As a long-time losing punter, in recent years I turned to Practical Punting Monthly to help turn my “fortunes” around. As well as being a thoroughly entertaining read, your magazine has taught me invaluable lessons about this mystical art of “the punt”.Today (Derby Day at Flemington) the moons, the stars and the magazine all aligned to give me my best result EVER.These are the horses I took in my Quaddie at Flemington (with PPM page numbers next to them)

Why did I put some horses in bold?  It’s because they were the WINNERS.
The quaddie paid $14,587.50. I know it’s that figure because I’ve just finished counting every cent of it!

First off, thanks for a great magazine, I have been using different aspects I have gleaned from it in my punting strategies for a number of years with good success.
One excellent piece written a number of months ago was an article concerning maidens having good ratings without winning and going for a spell. You recommended following them when they returned as the ratings suggested they would win sooner rather than later, if you check the results you will find that you were spot on.
I was wondering if I could suggest that you make this, say, a 2 or 3 monthly article, if it goes as well as the first lot I can't see how you could go wrong.

After 22 years of trying, I cracked the Trifecta of the Melbourne Cup !!!!
Cost me $113.80 to put it on, 20% of the dividend.

Thank You Practical Punting !!! - The Optimist's Plan (e-book) gave me a list of final 4 horses that could win & I removed Leica Ding.
That left Allcopop, Roman Emperor & Shocking in the first leg.

I would like to say that I have been dealing with Equestrian Publishing for over thirty years. I was a subscriber to Clif Cary's Racing Review which, if memory serves me correctly, was taken over by Equestrian Publishing. I remember buying The Electronic Comp many years ago and have been a frequent purchaser of your products ever since. Such that my wife says that I am a compulsive buyer of racing products rather than a compulsive gambler. I'd just like to say that all the products have served their purpose. I was introduced to PPM magazine by a very good friend of mine the late Russ Writer. Russ and I were good mates for over twenty years and we had many a good discussion on racing at the Time and Tide hotel. I rate PPM magazine an excellent product and I wait avidly each month for its arrival.

I have followed the advice given by your columnists and have established a portfolio of systems, including Pathfinder, Power of Winning, Solitaire, Ryan's Gold and now Conquest. They are serving me well. I received Ryan's Gold a little while ago because Green Light was not performing. I found it truly remarkable that you would do that. I thank you very much it was service beyond any that I have encountered before.

Today I backed a horse out of PPM in Wayne Wilsons section.  It was Dulacca Diamond and I got on at the odds of 51/1.
Using the Money Maker Staking Plan I received when I had previously subscribed to PPM, I put $10 on the nose.
Nice little profit of $500 that I would not have put on if it wasn’t for your magazine and Wayne’s insight.

"Dear Sir , it just so happens that about ten years ago I was lucky enough to stumble upon your mystical magazine in my local newsagent, as an avid reader ever since I have been able to moderate my losses ( with help of diary ) and boost my winnings. One of my favourite stories involves me trying to give my friend 'Lucky Phil ' $20 as a gift as long as he put it on  a horse called Centrix at Moonee Valley one day about  7-9 yrs ago.

Never a punter (what was the punt ??) my friend Lucky Phil declined my Gift and Centrix duly saluted at $23.10. The boys still remind him never to looka gift horse .....   BUT THIS TIME YOU OUTDID YOURSELVES !!! After just recently moving house and no longer near my trusty newsagent , on Friday I signed up for my PPM subscription and just to supplement my own form analysis, the PPD as well . And on MY FIRST DAY you pull ECONSUL , not once but twice  - enough of a tip even for me !! I managed to pinch the nice quaddie result of almost $9,000 and that was just for a 50c unit. You have happily steered my racing investments in the winning direction for ten years and i consider PPM to have paid for itself many times over.
